We Are The Very Scaries

Not so long ago, a young orange sparkling heard one of her friends say, "As much as I love their plaids and prints, earthlings are so three-dimensional!"

"Eeeuw," she thought, "How sad! Something must be done to help them!"

Now, it must be remembered that all creatures on Orange Sparkle Ball are both clever and compassionate. They are diverse, but co-exist peacefully in one, two, three, four or more dimensions, depending on their moods and needs.

They have only one law, and that is to never abuse plaids - no matter what! To show their true love of plaids, they usually reserve their use for the second dimension and major holidays.

Our inquisitive orange sparkling decided to study Earth Ball and earthlings. She learned that it was easy to get there and back since an earthling vice-president had invented The Internet.

She didn't really know what a vice-president was, but soon, came to understand that someone must be in charge of vice on Earth Ball since there was so much of it. There was also crime, pollution, war and famine.

On Orange Sparkle Ball, no such things exist because of the hard work of The Very Scaries, creatures who monitor every-day life watching for situations that might cause one to say, "That's very scary!" Before there's trouble, The Very Scaries modify conditions to remedy the problem. It's just that simple. No harm. No foul.

As soon as she learned of the real problems on Earth Ball; all much bigger than abuse of plaids, she petitioned the leadership of Orange Sparkle Ball to send in The Very Scaries.

They sent a team led by Contrary Very Scary. This is their story...
