More From Qomolangma

When Glarey reported in from Kathmandu, I feared that the melting of the snow and ice on Qomolangma had been caused by one of us!  She was confused, and had spent days on the mountain meditating.  As you know, when any Very Scary falls deep into thought, his or her body temperature can fluctuate from as cold as absolute zero to as hot as Earth Ball's sun.  With a derriere as large (and lovely) as Glarey's, had she heated up, it wouldn't have taken long to melt the snow cover off of the entire North Face.  That's just one of the inconvenient truths that we must remember as we practice our Random Acts of Very Scary.

As it turns out, the problem is not Glarey; it's global warming.  Weather is being affected all over the world.  Since conditions on Qomolangma are so difficult to monitor and predict, local officials believed that the flooding was the result of continuing torrential rain.  It was not until our Very Scary satellite pictures were made available to climatologists that they understood what was really happening.  Our pictures show melting of ice and snow all over Earth Ball.

As is always the case back home on Orange Sparkle Ball, when a Very Scary situation is imminent, a Very Scary shows up to modify conditions.  Without knowing it, that's just what Glarey did.  The melting had already begun before she chose the tallest peak on Earth Ball for her meditations.  She immediately fell into a contemplation of the soft colors of the landscape, and began to visualize the plaids that could be developed by using them.  In no time, her core temperature had cooled to well below freezing, and her huge backside began to reverse the melting.

Now that we understand the situation, she plans to stay in the area, alternating her time between peaceful contemplation on the mountain and shopping.  Alls well that ends well.
